Psychobilly's

Psychobilly manifested itself mostly in Leningrad at the turn of the 90-s along with the bands “Swindlers” and “Meantraitors”, when groups of young people styled this trend musically after they segregated from rockabilly scene. But even before that there were individual characters, who stood out from the bounds of new subcultural leagues and preferred poly-melomania with rock-n-roll bias. In terms of the dresscode it was also close to punk aesthetics. So the psychobilly-oriented gangs without having enough foreign information, developed in its obligate evolutionary course on the other side of the iron curtain being at the height of youth fashion in the 90-s as well. In Moscow “psycho” was shared by even less representatives of subcultures and hardly manifested itself in appearance, for a long time being just a musical preference inside punk and rockabilly circles.
